KEMAMPUAN Trichoderma sp. UNTUK MENEKAN PENYAKIT SECARA ALAMI PADA TANAMAN PAPRIKA DI DATARAN MEDIUM

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi agen hayati Trichoderma sp. yang di aplikasi dengan beberapa metode untuk mengendalikan patogen tanaman secara alami pada tanaman paprika di dataran medium. Metode yang dilakukan adalah i) perendaman biji dengan suspensi Trichoderma sp. (TS) selama 30 menit, ii) aplikasi Trichoderma sp. dalam bentuk padat (10 g) ke dalam lubang tanam (TL) sebelum tanam, iii) perendaman akar bibit (TB) ke dalam suspensi Trichoderma sp. (3 x 106 mL-1, iv) tanpa diaplikasi dengan Trichoderma sp. (Kontrol). Setiap perlakuan diulang 5 kali. Ukuran bedeng 1 x 3 m dengan jarak tanam 60 x 60 cm. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah RAL (Rancangan Acak Lengkap). Hasilnya menunjukkan insiden penyakit damping-off oleh Sclerotium rolfsii dan Fusarium solani pada perlakuan TS, TB, dan TL masing-masing sebesar 15, 5, 4% dan kontrol 78,3%. Sehingga kemampuan Trichoderma sp. dalam menekan penyakit damping-off pada perlakuan TS, TB, dan TL masing-masing sebesar 63,3; 73,3; dan 74,3% dibanding dengan kontrol (21,7%). Tanaman yang diserang oleh Virus pada perlakuan TS, TB, TL masing-masing sebesar 5, 2, 2% dan kontrol 20%.
